Ometepe is the largest volcanic island located in a freshwater lake. It is in the center of Lake Cocibolca. Its two volcanoes, one active (conception) and the other dormant (woods), are part of the most beautiful attractions of the island. When you move in it, you practically travel in the middle of these two volcanoes and the view is simply beautiful.

There is more than one way to tour the island of Ometepe, one of them, very uncommon but very original, is to visit the island by motorcycle. With a motorcycle you can go farther, and to terrain that is not accessible to other types of vehicles. In other words, you will have a real adventure on this tour for sure.

6:15 in the morning is the departure time from the city of Granada, in our four-wheeled transport (sedan or van), it takes us an hour and 30 minutes to get to the Port of San Jorge and an hour by ferry to get to the island. Our guide will be waiting for us there with the motorcycles to guide us around the island.
Villages, neighborhoods, beaches, dirt roads, roads with stones and mud; all this is part of what we will see and travel today. Our last stop will undoubtedly be the famous Ojo de Agua. A natural spring with crystal clear, healthy and fresh water. In addition to lunch and a drink, we will swim for a little over two hours before returning to the port to return to Granada.
