Telica Volcano is an active volcano located an hour and a half from the city of Leon. The road to get there is quite difficult and can only be done in an all terrain vehicle. But that road makes the round trip full of adventure.
When you reach the base of the volcano, you begin to climb along paths made in the valleys of molten rock or petrified lava. Depending on the physical conditions, the climb takes no less than an hour and as you go up, you will enjoy a unique panoramic view. This includes the volcanic range of Los Maribios, dozens of volcanoes lined up one behind the other and one higher than the others.
Once at the top, get ready to see a magical sunset and then at night, hopefully see the incandescence of the lava. A little before 7 o’clock at night, we will descend for an hour and then drive back to León for an hour and a half.
